Web content is the lifeblood of the internet. The more you have the more likely you are to get visitors to your website when it's picked up by the search engines.
How it gets picked up is another matter entirely, all you need to know is that you need web content and you need lots of it if you're thinking about building an authority website that will be visited by people in their thousands.
The issue is, writing takes time. If you're writing all of the content you need yourself you'll need to set aside more time than you probably have.
You could pay someone to write for you but this brings with it a whole boat load of issues if you don't know what you are doing.
To save time in your writing you could re-purpose web content. By this I mean take something that you've already written and turn it into something else. An ebook, a video, an audio file and the list goes on.
So How Do You Re-Purpose Web Content?
I'm going to show you one really good way to do this right now. There are many others and you're only limited by your imagination.
Turning a bunch of articles into an ebook is relatively easy but there are a few things you need to know to make this really effective. If you've already read an ebook that's just a compilation of articles then you'll know that they're usually very poor quality.
In order to avoid this you have to make the ebook seem like its original purpose was a book and not a bunch of articles. Here are nine steps on how to do it.
1. Plan your ebook in advance of writing any articles.
2. Write your articles around the chapters of your ebook.
3. Write and introduction, the main body (which will be in your ebook) and a summary.
4. Syndicate these articles however you like.
5. Once all of the chapters of the book have been written combine them
6. Remove the introduction and summary from each article and replace with a new introduction and summary that will link the chapters together.
7. Create and introduction to your book, a table of contents and a legal disclaimer.
8. Write a suitable conclusion to your ebook
9. Get an ebook cover made, you can do this easily on websites like fiverr.com
The most important thing about the steps above is to plan your ebook in advance. If you don't you'll find that your book doesn't flow and it's just a disjointed bunch of articles combined together into 1 place which isn't good reading.
Once you have your ebook you can do whatever you want with it. Sell it on kindle, create a sales page and promote it yourself. Give it away as an incentive to sign up for your list, post it free ebook sites, sell it on ebook sites, the possibilities are endless.
